one more for the boy – groom resources

I came across this article from the New York Times and thought you all would be interested in reading it. The article is about how groom’s are getting more involved in the wedding planning process these days.  They are contributing more to the event and wanting to make it a special occasion for their guests {that’s my guy!}.  I have also come to find out however, that no matter what, he does not care about the particular font on the invites, the exact  names and colors of the flowers, or the driveyouinsane centerpiece arrangements.

Here are some additional online resources a la Wedding Paper Divas if you need:

  • GroomGroove offers everything a guy needs to play his part. Find tips for making speeches, hosting a rocking reception and even a checklist of the groom’s duties.
  • Looking for gifts tailored to grooms, with a little advice thrown in for good measure? The Man Registry is the site for you. They have everything from personalized beer steins to tips for writing vows that will leave her teary-eyed.
  • Is all of this a little much for you? Find a place to read about a groom who is even more skeptical than you at The Grumpy Groom. It might even inspire you to start your own blog!
  • Happy reading ladies – share it with your hubby-to-be 🙂
