Real Wedding: Victoria + Chad

::my first real wedding post:: 🙂

Meet Victoria and Chad.  The {lovely} couple married on June 27th at the Tree of Life Christian Center in Naches.  Tori was kind enough to share her wedding with me and now, I’m happy I get to share it with all of you.  Their pink and black damask style wedding was absolutely {beautiful}!  I love it . . . the simplicity and DiY touches that Tori added herself are truly inspirational to anyone on a budget or looking to make their wedding unique.

Carrie Snider is the Central Washington area photographer behind all these colorfully captured images as she was able to show the true essence of Tori and Chad on their ::special:: day. . . Enjoy!

For all her paper goods, Tori used a damask print she found online for inspiration as the black and white pattern  acted as a staple throughout her wedding.  Tori created all her paper goods using the easy-to-navigate Microsoft Publisher on her home computer.

The crafty bride even created her own aisle runner! Click on this image as well for detailed directions on how you can make one just like this.

Tori’s {stunning} off-white, lace gown was {get this} made by her mother using a sundress pattern — what a crafty woman!  Tori knew the exact look she wanted on her big day and so, with specially ordered fabric, a hot pink sash and a brooch she found online . . . Tori’s gorgeous gown only cost her $120.00 and it looks amazing

The bride’s shoes were purchased at David’s Bridal and dyed hot pink. She also picked up a pair of metallic hot pink flip flops from Old Navy in order to give her aching feet a break post-ceremony . . . something she recommends all brides should do 🙂

In keeping with her DiY theme, Tori ordered her flowers from Costco {two dozen roses for $16.99} and asked her friends {Alicia and Marie} to arrange all the bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres the morning of the wedding. The two-toned bouquet {with a black ribbon wrap} matched perfectly with the bride’s hot pink heels!

Wanting a small wedding, Tori only asked her best friend Ashleigh to stand as her maid of honor while Chad asked his childhood friend, Jeremy to be his best man.  To honor each of their siblings, the couple asked their three sisters and two brothers to stand in as honorary attendants.

As far as entertaining the {young ones} at the wedding, Tori offered some advice to other couples saying that “something every bride ought to do is make coloring books.”  Using a template she found online, Tori asked her friends to pass out the handmade fun with a four pack of crayons to entertain her little guests during the vows.

For the favors, the bride and groom chose a couple options in order to accommodate both their male and female guests.  The first option {for the ladies} contained pear shaped scented candles wrapped in raffia with a picture of the happy couple adhered to the front of the favor box.    For the men {and the sweet tooth at heart}, they presented small chocolate candies packaged with a tag that read “Hugs & Kisses from the Newly Mr. & Mrs.”

For the reception décor, Tori looked to Weaver Flower & Rental {located in Moxee} for inspiration.  Noting how “amazing” Jeanette (the shop’s owner) was in helping her put together her table layouts, Tori was able to rent everything from her linens to her chapel décor from Weaver {and at very reasonable prices}!
